In this series of four workshops we will explore the work of women using clay in the 20th and 21st centuries. The first class, held on Zoom, will include a lecture and slideshow of pieces made by a variety of ceramic artists who identify as women. The next three classes, held in person, will focus on hands-on practicing of techniques used by several of the artists, including wheel throwing, handbuilding and surface design. Prior clay experience recommended.
