Class Experience

In this six week exploration of rubbercut and linocut printmaking techniques, we will learn how to plan and transfer a design to our cutting surface for the creation of beautiful prints. The class covers how to use block cutting tools, how to mix ink, and how to use a printing press. We will be printing on paper, fabric and simple folded book structures. Materials fee covers all project materials and tools.

What To Bring

The Instructor will provide a selection of carving knives, rubber cut printing blocks, waterbased and oil based printing inks, brayers, adhesives, cutting tools, and papers.


Students may bring a favorite carving knife if they have one.
