Class Experience

Join Kelly as students use popular songs to discover structures and patterns in music that can be used to better understand contemporary music, leading to the composition and arranging of a student's own music. Students will focus on popular styles of music (rock, pop, R&B, etc) that is not in notation form. Instead, students will focus on improving their auditory learning skills to boost their creativity and musicianship. Students will learn about different song forms, lyrics/harmony and how each one connects to one another, creating authentic piano arrangements to share with family and friends.
