Class Experience

Wyoming Climbing Expedition
For participants entering grades 9-12 in Fall 2021

Wyoming Climbing Expedition is a foundational rock climbing course just for high school girls and youth! This camp will spend 5 days car camping and rock climbing in Vedauwoo, Wyoming. Through the art of climbing, participants will explore their values, develop a growth mindset, learn how to navigate challenges, and develop bravery.

This course is appropriate for participants who have never climbed before and want to give it a try AND for participants who have climbed in the gym or outdoors before. Your instructors are womxn who are experienced climbers and teachers and will give you the coaching appropriate for your skill level!

Features and Skills Learned
- Five days car camping and rock climbing at Vedauwoo Recreation Area, Wyoming
- Learn how to belay and use climbing commands
- Develop, refine, and strengthen your rock climbing technique
- Learn how to set up a tent and camp outside
- Sleeping under the stars
- Average group size: 9 participants, 3 instructors
