In this 5-week course, Students will be introduced to two different methods of starting an oil painting and the associated techniques accompanying these methods. We will discuss and explore materials, techniques, and procedures of oil painting with a focus on portraiture. Students will complete studies from photo reference, portrait casts, and finally from a live model. This art class is geared toward adults though interested middle school and high school students are also welcome.
