Yoga Playhouse has teamed up with child psychologist, Karen Mengden, to create a class that gives children ages 7-10 the tools needed to cope with anxiety now and throughout their lives. Students will learn to recognize what stress feels like in their body so they can address it head on using techniques from yoga, mindfulness and breathing exercises. They'll also learn to identify their triggers for anxiety, so they can stop it before it sets in. Parents are invited to join the final 15 minutes of each class when students will be encouraged to teach their parent the strategy for finding calm learned that week.
