We are excited to announce a special production that we will devise and produce in the spring of 2021 about students’ experience during the COVID epidemic. Students will work with Artistic Director Georgeanna, and YAT director Ryan (who is also the Artistic Director of NoExit Performance,) in documenting their experiences throughout COVID. This first semester will be focused on social response theatre: building the story we will tell about the many feelings/fears/hard times/ and hope surrounding the last year. The second semester will continue the work of the fall, culminating in a performance in May. Please note that the second semester will be a separate signup beginning in February.
As usual for YAT classes, students are expected to come dressed comfortably, with long hair pulled back and clothes that let them move around easily.
Some things are different during COVID-19: Students will be asked to wear masks during every class, and water bottles should be clearly labelled with the student's name. We will provide extra masks in case you need one, and we will have hand sanitizer for all students and staff to use regularly. We invite you to find a full list of our COVID-19 procedures and precautions at yatkids.org/policies.
