Essentials Membership

At SJMS, we want to spend the majority of the time working with and for our students, not fussing with payments, so we've packaged all the elements of the SJMS program into a simple membership model!

Here it is:
One monthly fee July through June
Auto-renews until you tell it to stop. (No contracts required)
Includes year round lessons, practice performances, coaching, and creative camps with built-in adjustments for summer time that flex with your schedule!

Every part of the SJMS Program is designed to help your child love music, build confidence, enjoy their friends and teachers, and make steady progress toward their big musical dreams!

Here are some details:

SCHOOL YEAR (Sept-June):
September through early June- our program centers around weekly classes, at home practice, practice performances called "Crescendo Class", rehearsals and performances. Students generally come every week at the same time. (We build in 4 flex weeks to help with teacher conflicts and inclement weather)

SUMMER:
In the summer, the pace shifts — families travel, schedules change, and kids need flexibility.
Students choose drop-in summer lessons OR a camp experience for their summer time growth!

Drop-in lessons are weekly lessons and you can choose however many you want!
Camp Offerings are listed on the "Camps" tab.

COMMITMENT:
You are a member until you decide to cancel. There are no long‑term contracts so you don't need to feel afraid of commitment!
We recommend a minimum of 3 months but to be honest, most of our students are around for years!

Your membership remains active until you choose to cancel it, and you’ll be charged a flat monthly fee each month.
That month’s membership gives your child access to all Essentials‑level experiences happening during that time — sometimes that’s weekly lessons, sometimes it’s a rehearsal, a performance, or a camp.

If you choose to pause your membership and start again later, please note that you will be charged a New Student Fee of $100 to re-join.
