1:1 1-hour (Foundation Skill Building)
This membership covers our most beginner-level courses.
Some of the courses included within this membership are:
- Scratch (Introduction to Scratch, Advanced Scratch, Advanced AI-Based Scratch)
- Python (Introduction to Python, Python Object-Oriented Programming)
- Web Programming (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript)
1. The classes are 1:1 (not group classes).
2. Classes take place weekly, with one hour every week.
3. Sessions will be held virtually via Zoom.
4. After every class, a class report will be accompanied by weekly homework.
5. Additionally, there will be an overall progress report every three months to inform where the student is and the next step recommendation.
6. The payment is recurring and is billed monthly.

- The parent also has access to the student’s overall STEAM track and progress tracking dashboard.

1:1 1-hour (Science Fair)
In this course, students will brainstorm and develop project ideas from scratch, learning the full cycle of scientific inquiry and innovation. From research and design to experimentation and iteration, students will create working prototypes, gather supplies, and draw scientific conclusions based on their findings. This track is ideal for students who are curious, love experimenting, and want to go beyond their school coursework to explore big scientific questions and develop novel theories or results.
1. The classes are 1:1 (not group classes).

1:1 Advanced Skill Building (1 hour - Child Membership)
Description
1. Tuition Billing: Tuition fees are billed on the same day of each month. As part of our service, students are entitled to one complimentary class per year. Please note that the academic year consists of 49 classes, excluding weeks with public holidays such as Independence Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. For specific vacation weeks, please refer to the current ACF calendar.
2. Registration fee: Student is subject to a one time registration fee of $35
3. Makeup Policy: If a student is unable to attend a class and notifies us of a schedule change request at least 48 hours in advance, a makeup class credit will be given. However, if the notice is received less than 48 hours ahead, no makeup credit will be provided. For make-up classes to be scheduled, parents must include all their students' availabilities during the week (including weekends), with minimum 3 - 4 slots spanning several hours. The slots may be listed in decreasing order of preference.
4. Makeup Credit Validity: Makeup credits are valid for a period of 6 months from the date they are issued. It is the responsibility of the student or their guardian to utilize the makeup credits within this timeframe.
5. Membership Pause: If a student needs to pause their membership temporarily, a notice of at least 2 weeks is required. During the pause period, no tuition fees will be charged. Please note that the pause period should not exceed 6 months.
6. Class Credit Refunds: Tuition fees paid for classes are non-refundable. However, in case a student is unable to continue, the class credit is transferable to another eligible family member.
7. Attendance Policy: If a student fails to attend a scheduled class, the coach will wait for a maximum of 30 minutes. There will be no refund or makeup for the missed class. The coach is obligated to proceed with the class as scheduled when the student joins later than the scheduled time.
8. Communication: Any scheduling request emails, make-up class requests should be made by emailing schedule@applied-computing.org, while membership pauses, cancellation notices must be made by emailing billinghelp@applied-computing.org.
